The Commission attaches great importance to ensuring that its actions represent international best practice.

Having previously signed nine bilateral cooperation and information sharing agreements, in October 2022 the CCAF became an Ordinary Member of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), alongside more than 130 of its counterparts from around the world. Aiming to protect investors, promote the development of fair, efficient, and transparent financial markets, and address systemic market risks, IOSCO sets internationally recognised standards in the field of financial regulation.

Under the multilateral cooperation agreement signed with IOSCO, the Commission carries out investigations and interviews on behalf of foreign authorities. The agreement allows for rapid and effective cooperation to address issues such as cross-border market abuses.

As a member of IOSCO, the Commission attends regional and international meetings aimed at improving financial regulation and cooperation.
